Bye Bye Bulb

This light is a conceptual object and a creative comment on the prohibition and the disappearance of the classic light bulb. It is equipped with a heat sink for a 10 Watt High Power LED that looks like an ordinary bulb socket. The lamp shade without the fabric covering is also a reference to the stereotypical lamps of the past.
Bye Bye Bulb makes an apparently paradox statement of the sorrow about the bulb disappearance and the confidence concerning new illuminants like LED.
I think, LED lamps will be the future of lighting, not the ugly, toxic and bad light emitting so called energy saving lamps. LED technology establishes us absolutely new possibilities in design of lighting.
